This is a recipe that I got from pupswithchopsticks. It has only been changed minimally.
I cooked it on 13 April 2025, and was moderately happy with it. But I've come to the conclusion that honey-soya glaze is not my thing. The idea of fried sprouts is good, but I need to reconsider the sauce.
quantity | ingredient | step
100 g | onion | 1 | ||
30 g | garlic | 1 | ||
oil for frying | 1 | |||
250 g | Fresh Brussels sprouts | 2
65 g | honey | 4 | ||
30 g | light soya sauce | 4 | ||
30 g | water | 4 | ||
5 g | cornflour | 4 | ||
sesame seeds to garnish | 5 |
Cut the onions finely, crush the garlic. Fry gently in a large pan capable of holding the sprouts in a single layer.
Clean the sprouts, removing stems and loose outer leaves. Cut in halves and place in the pan, flat side down.
Fry until browned.
Turn the sprouts over and brown the outsides.

Mix the cornflour with the water and soya sauce. Add the honey when completely mixed. Add to the sprouts and bring to the boil.
Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds:
