This is one of many pages describing plants and animal life
that we have in our garden. In many cases, we don't know what they are. Comments welcome.

We live next to a nature reserve, the “Dereel lagoon”, often called
“swamp”. In fact, in our experience it's neither; it's a rather dry wetlands, and
a number of animals live in it, including these, the “thing that came out of the
swamp”.
They often come into our garden, mainly at night; we've seen droppings all round the house.
They have done a significant amount of damage to the plants.
