These are the flowers we had in the garden in late autumn 2025, taken mainly on 23 May 2026. They're not all overly pretty, but the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
As I noted last month, I'm still wondering why I do this. Things are deteriorating to the point that it's uninteresting. But that's what I said of my diary in 1970 before I stopped keeping it, something that I now profoundly regret. So here it is, interesting or not.
Once again there's little to report. It looks like these have died:

Those were the Clematis “Edo Murasaki” and the long-suffering and short-remaining Ginkgo biloba. It's coming on winter, and they're deciduous, so I haven't completely given up hope, like for this maple “Chantilly lace” and the oak:

And then there's the „Gruß an Aachen“ rose that was deprived of water:

It's not all that gloomy, though. These roses are doing Just Fine:

The Abutilons have also improved considerably

The Solanum laxum that I discovered last year is doing really well. Here last year (first photo) and today:

And the Grevillea robusta is also growing, though I still haven't seen any flowers. Here again last year and today:

Inside, our new Hibiscus rosa-sinensis “Uncle Max” is flowering nicely, though a little pale. I added some fertilizer, cautiously, though the old bush (last photo) has come back with lots of green, but still no buds:
