These are the flowers we had in the garden in mid-autumn 2023, taken mainly on 20 April 2023. They're not all overly pretty, but the purpose of the photos is to record what was in the garden at the time.
For a change, nothing seems to be dying, or at least not very quickly. In the front garden the Corymbia ficifolia has finished flowering more quickly than I expected, but there's still a straggler, and it doesn't look too bad:
The Ginkgo biloba has discovered that it's autumn; hopefully it will pick up in the spring:

There are a surprising number of mushrooms—I think Agaricus campestris—in that area too:

From recollection, they're edible. I wonder if they have anything to do with the oak trees that we planted in the area:

The Buddlejas that I replanted are gradually looking better, in particular the one planted in the ground:

I suspect that the previous ones were drowned. I'll have to find somewhere drier to plant the others.
And the Abutilons that caused concern a few months ago are now looking much better. The first one, on Piccola's grave has picked up very quickly:

And the roses that looked so unhappy in the summer have picked up:

I think I should spend more time looking at the irrigation come springtime.
The newly planted Magnolia has lost leaves, but not buds:

With any luck it'll flower in a few months' time.
I can hardly say that the Strelitzia reginae is looking good, but by comparison to the last few months it's definitely better:

On the other hand, I have more concerns than usual about my two Hibiscus rosa-sinensis “Uncle Max”. The one in the ground has barely flowered all year, and it will need trimming back:

And this one has been in a far-too-small pot for months:

It's time to bring it in for the winter, during which I hope it will recover.
