Greg's papers: X configuration, the theory

This directory contains a chapter from The Complete FreeBSD, describing the background about setting up X configuration files.

Note the disclaimer in the text: with the help of this chapter, you can destroy your monitor, or just possibly the display card. With modern monitors this is very unlikely, and even with older monitors it's unlikely if you follow the instructions, but I won't take any responsibility.
