It includes a number of items in the original quote: - The septic alarm light is part of the septic installation, for which you quoted. - The power outlet for the air conditioner is part of the installation, for which you quoted. Note that this outlet has not been connected, and it has been mounted 1 cm too low, so it doesn't clear the compressor unit, which was present when you mounted it. You have also not connected power to the air conditioning units, Karl Waldron tells me that this was your responsibility, and that's why he put the units there in advance of installation. He came at a time where you and I had arranged that you would be on site, but you weren't. - The 15 amp outlet is for the power from the UPS, for which you quoted. - The power outlets on the island bench are in the quotation. I didn't ask to have them stick out such a long way, however. In addition, we have: - The vertical power outlet in the bathroom was not my choice. I would far rather have had a horizontal power point on the right, where there is space. It became necessary because you put the original cutout behind the mirror. - The doorbell has not been installed. You also don't mention deductions: - As discussed, you will deduct $170 from the $500 originally charged for connecting the air conditioner cable. I still find the remaining $330 excessive, but since we agreed on it, I continue to recognize it. - We agreed a deduction of $12 per lamp. You later asked me to reduce this to $8, but on reflection I purchased the lamps based on your offer of $12, so I'm going to have to insist on this deduction. For 25 lamps (21 inside, 4 outside), this makes $200. I'm sure that the real deduction for the 4 outside lights would be more, but I'm prepared to accept $12 for them too. - I've spoken with JG King, and they confirm what I expected: light globes are normally part of the electrical installation unless explicitly included. You tell me that a globe costs $6, so for the 25 lights this would be $150 to be deducted. What I do recognize is: - Wiring only for doorbell. - Move porch light. My deductions from the invoice amount to $520 ($170 + $200 + $150). Knowing that you needed money quickly, I paid the full invoice sum, but I wouldn't want to get the impression that you had taken advantage of me. Please let me know the real cost of moving the porch light and installing the wiring for the doorbell. Please also confirm that you will connect power to the air conditioner by the end of the week without requiring further payment. Greg -- Sent from my desktop computer.
