Abernethy Biscuits (cookies in the Colonies)

8 oz self raising flour
1 egg
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
3 oz butter
3 oz caster sugar

Sive flour, run into the butter, stir in the sugar and seeds. Mix the
beaten egg and milk together and stir into the dry ingredients.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured board. Roll fairly thinly, cut
into rounds and bake for 10 minutes at 350F on baking sheet.
