This page was written some time at the end of the 20th century, and it reflects the situation at the time. I'm keeping it for historical reasons.

If you are reading this, you have probably received a strange-looking message from MAILER-DAEMON@lemis.com. It means that we reject mail from your site because we have received a lot of junk mail (“spam”) from this address.

It's possible that this is not your fault—in particular, many large spammers deliberately offer attractive conditions in order to collect the addresses of other users for sale to spammers. We're sorry about that, and if you contact us, we'll try to fix things. Of course, that assumes that you can contact us... If you can't, try this URL again soon. We might put in the possibility to send us a message via the web.

Note that some sites, such as Hotmail, have broken mailers which don't present the name of the sender when establishing a connection. In this case, unfortunately, there's nothing we can do. You can change mail systems, of course, though it's difficult to find reputable ISPs any more. Better still is to avoid web-based mail providers altogether; they can cause all sorts of other problems.
